# DevPause

> DevPause is a free Chrome extension that adds productivity buttons under ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini answers: copy an answer as clean plain text (no markdown asterisks, hashes or code fences), ask for a shorter / simpler / table / example version in one click, continue a cut-off answer, wide-screen layout, bigger font, a word counter and an "answer is ready" notification. It is supported by one short text ad line shown next to the chat while an answer is being written.

## Facts

- Works only on chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com. It does not see other sites.
- Does not read conversations in the background. An answer's text is read only when the user clicks "Copy clean", and it goes only to the clipboard.
- Talks to one server (devpause.vercel.app) and sends only an anonymous install id, chosen country and language, extension version and anonymous ad impression counts. No conversation text, chat titles, page URLs or account names.
- Free for everyone, no paid tier. Ads are text only, reviewed by a person, not personalised. Voluntary support via Gumroad unlocks nothing.
- Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+C (copy clean), Alt+Shift+P, Alt+Shift+W (wide screen).
